Beyond the medical implications, the financial burden of managing diabetic macular edema suddenly became painfully clear. Our doctor emphasized that treatment would require a long, structured process with repeated intraocular injections into each affected eye. To understand what we were up against, I immediately sat down to analyze the projected monthly expenses for our specific region and situation here in Kyiv, Ukraine, based on prices in May 2026.
